Lottie's Story

Lottie Jane James, 89, was born on March 5, 1927, in Cumberland County to Roy and Sarepta Loden and passed away in her home in Grandview, TN. She was a laundress and retired from Polly Prim's in Lakeland, FL, in 1989, and moved back to Grandview area in Tennessee. She enjoyed having lunch with her friends, going to yard sales, collecting memories, and listening to music. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lottie was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children, Jesse E. James (Lynn) of Sugar Tree TN, Gary L. James of Mont Eagle, TN, Ronald L. James of Lafayette, GA, and Zelma Robinette of Grandview, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Womack (Daniel), Allen Heddleston, Gary James Jr., Angela, Courtney, Asa Mack James, and David James; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Loden and Sarepta James Loden Barnwell; son Marvin Ray James; daughter Patrica Gail James; and grandson Michael R. Heddleston.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 10 a.m. till noon with services to follow. Randall Dye will officiate with burial to follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
