Lois Irene Rogers, 96, of Crossville, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Cumberland House in Crossville.
She was born Sept. 21, 1920, in Byrdstown, TN, daughter of the late Frank and Eva Masongale. Lois worked for the hospital as a cook and was of the Baptist faith. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Claude H. Rogers, Crossville; sons, Roger Smith and Doug (Trina) Smith, all of Crossville; and daughters, Ruth (Paul) Williams of Florida, Carolyn (Jerry) Merrill of Crossville, JoAnn Matlock of Crossville and Eve (Patrick) Kelly of New Market, TN. She is also survived by 59 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Balom Smith; son, Charlie Smith; daughters, Ethel Davenport and Blanche Mosley; granddaughter, Misty Beauchamp; brother, Ben Smith; and sister, Marie Stulls.
Graveside services were held at Smith Chapel Cemetery on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Junior Pugh officiating. Interment in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
