Joyce Irene Tabor, 82 of Crossville, passed away Jan. 13, 2018. She was born Jan. 8, 1936, in Deposit, NY. She moved to Tennessee after marrying her husband, M. C. Tabor. They made their home and raised their family in the Woody community in Crossville.
She is survived by her sister, Grace Harris of Ohio; daughters, Mary Tabor of Crossville, Karen Nelson of Crossville and Faith (James) Hale of Crossville; sons, Rocco (Betty) Tabor of Knoxville and Dale (Regina) Tabor of Crossville; grandchildren, Jesse (Frances) Standlee, Laura Pace, Anna Tabor, Miranda Henderson, Keagan Drzewiecki, Cyara Tabor, Dale Tabor Jr., Samantha Phillips, Dustin Nelson, Stephanie Killeen, Kelsey (Carl) Gaertner, Kayla Nelson, Mattthew (Hunter) Hale and Brandy (Zachary) Martin; great grandchildren, Michael, Skyler, Ashley, Ashton, Cheyenne, Elijah, Liam, Gauge, Carlie, Mason, Aubrey, Harper, Amelia, Kaitlyn, Peyton and Henry; best friends, Clara Taylor and Marilyn Filburn; and very special caregiver, Rosie. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, a host of dear friends and a loving church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Daisy Hubbell; husband M.C. Tabor; brother Gerald Hubbell; and great grandson Jared Vibbert.
She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She loved going to church, spending time with her family and friends, her dog Lily, flowers, sunny days on the porch watching the birds, reading, playing Rummy, watching "Wheel of Fortune" and "Price is Right" and long phone conversations with her best friends, Clara and Marilyn. She also loved Elvis Presley, whom she shared a birthday with.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial was in Fredonia Cemetery.
