March 26, 1963―May 7, 2015 Johnny Randall Ledbetter, 52, of Nashville, formerly of Crossville, passed away May 7, 2015. He was born March 26, 1963, in Cookeville, the son of Johnny Prentice and Earlene Dale Ledbetter. He worked as a software engineer in the computer technology field and was also a member of the Baptist faith. He was a huge UT Vol fan and was a great supporter of the Vol For Life Booster Club. His family was one of the most important parts of his life. Being one of the favorite nephews, he was always in close contact with his relatives and dearly loved the relationships he shared with each of them. He will be remembered as a loving son and father who cherished his mother and children. He is survived by his mother, Earlene Ledbetter of Crossville; sons, Johnny Randall Ledbetter II of Calhoun, GA, and Landon Prentice Ledbetter of Rome, GA; special friend, Amy James of Nashville; several special aunts and uncles and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services were held May 12 at Hood Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Kerley officiated, with burial in Okalona Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Bowman, Wyatt Bowman, Joel Dale, Bobby Ledbetter, Jim Roberson, Johnny Walker, Tim Walker and Tom Walker. Serving as honorary were Barry Boston, Brooks Boston, Jule Bryson, Greg Lack, Jack Roberson and Rick Roberson. The family has asked that memorials be made to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville. All donations will go toward GI/FAP research. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
