John F. (Jack) Henderson went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 18, 2019, at 1:40 p.m. after a lengthy illness. John was born in Huntingdon, PA, on May 10, 1932, to John Mark and D. Katherine Henderson.
He worked for many years in the Crossville area, at Turner Day Handle Milk General Processing and Rubber Plants.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verdia Burnett Henderson; son, James D. Henderson; and daughter, Vickie Nelson (Les); along with five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bobby at age 8.
He and his wife spent over twenty years as missionaries in the rural area of central Honduras, Central America. Returning to Crossville in 1998 due to bad health, they have continued to enjoy serving the Lord Jesus Christ through the local churches, Liberty Baptist Church and Lantana Road Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family until we see him again.
