Jan. 1, 1936—May 28, 2015 John Henry Donnelly, 79, passed away on May 28, 2015. John was delivered into this world on Jan. 1, 1936, by Dr. E.W. Mitchell to Gertrude and Edwin Donnelly. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mildred Evans Donnelly. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Sue Donnelly; sister-in-law, Rebecca Donnelly; nephews, Tony and Greg Donnelly; and nieces, Valerie Deason and Natalie Eischied. He also is survived by special family including Kathy, Kassie, Sydney and Edward Dooley-Smith; Verna Jean Nail; Karen O'Hara; Ronnie Nail; and Lynsey Nail. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Edwin Donnelly and Gertrude Kennedy Donnelly; his brother, Robert Donnelly; and nephew, Michael Donnelly. John was a partner in Boats and Harbors, a lifetime member of the First Christian Church, and an Army veteran. His passion was airplanes and flying, and he frequently piloted vintage aircraft in air shows. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 5 p.m. with Bro. Bob Kastens officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Pomona Cemetery. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
