Jerry's Story

Jerry B. Brown passed away on June 3, 2016, in Crossville. He was born in Cogswell, KY, on June 2, 1939, and grew up in Anderson, IN. He moved to Crossville in 2002. He spent over 20 years serving in the U.S. Army which included three tours in Germany and two in Vietnam. He was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association and Cumberland Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna; son, Brian of Loveland, CO; and daughter, Kathy Freeman of Anderson, IN. He also has four grandchildren, Mark, Jerilyn, Rachael and Spenser; one great granddaughter, Belle; a brother, Roger Brown of Rapid City, SD; a nephew; and a niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Chalmer Brown, and mother, Lola Gladys Brown, of Markleville, IN.
He loved his God, his country, his family, CMA, riding his motorcycle and camping. Really, Jerry just loved life and people.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 1:30 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service following. It is requested that there not be floral remembrances, but donations to the Christian Motorcyclist Association Run for the Son or Cumberland Fellowship Church will be appreciated.
