James E. Creger James Edward Creger was born September 1, in Bellefontaine, OH, to H.J. and Ruth Creger. Having fought a good fight and kept the faith, he finished his course in this life on March 1, 2019, at home, surrounded by family. "Jim," as he was affectionately called, worked for the United Telephone Company. He earned a degree from the Capital City Bible Institute and was a faithful member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Crossville.
Among many of his admirable qualities, Jim possessed a heart full of love that was beyond measure and is reflected in the lives of his survivors which include his wife of 33 years, Chris (Foulk) Creger; children, Jennifer Mutchler, James Mutcher and his wife, Kara, and Kassie Grace, Kelly Elizabeth, Kaitlyn Joy, Kourtney Love, and Caleb James Creger; sister, Janice Kennaw and her husband, Jim; brother, Chuck Creger and his wife, Karol; grandchildren, Rhett, Beau, Sean, Kaylee, Tyler; and many loved nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Hershel James and Ruth Creger; brother, Harold Thorton; and mother-in-law, Gladys Foulk.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Graveside committal services will be held Wednesday, March 6, at 1 p.m. at Crossville City Cemetery.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.

I worked with Jim @ United Telephone back in the 1970’s. He was a joyous person to be around and a mentor to me in our craft. He was a joy to be around and we are sorry for his passing but glad we will see him again some day in heaven. God bless his family.

Although we only kept in touch through Christmas cards, he was always the "cool' uncle. Love and miss you "Uncle Bobb T. Slobb"!

Neighbors for 18 years, Jim alway had a smile for everyone. He loved his family, and he will be missed.
