Jackie's Story

Jackie Kenton Dick, 66, of Crossville, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Cumberland Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 16, 1950, in Akron, OH, son of the late James Calvin Dick and Margaret Joyce Newberry. Jackie worked for Manchester Tank as a press operator and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church. Jackie loved working on his classic cars with his children. He also loved spending time with his family and watching them smile, laugh and joke around. He was - and is - loved by many people. He lived his life with two rules: to love his family and protect them. Jackie wanted to be with his family and to love God. Now, God has one more strong angel - Jackie.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Dick, Crossville; daughter, Rhonda (Larry) Lee, Crossville; sons, Dana (Jeanie) Hughes, Crab Orchard, TN, Shane Dick (Kristin Bowman), Ryan (Billie Jo) Dick, Brian "BJ" Dick, all of Crossville, and Jackie Whitt (Chelsea Callif), Columbus, OH; brothers, Ricky Dick, Crossville, and Calvin Dick, North Ridgeville, OH; and sisters, Janice Pelfrey, Joyce Loder and Barbara Serviss, all of Crossville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Phillips and Jimmy Dick; and sisters, Teresa Odell and Jean Ann Marhefka.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Jim Mersereau officiating. Interment in Haley's Grove Cemetery.
