Homer Ransdell went to be with his Lord & Savior on Sept. 16, 2017.
He was born Aug. 13, 1934, in Owenton, KY, son of the late Howard Ransdell and Sue Kathryn (Doty) Ransdell. Homer worked as a banker for 40 years in Ohio. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He also proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Ransdell, Crossville; son, David Lee Ransdell, Seminole, FL; daughter, Dara Lynn Ransdell-Jordan, Largo, FL; brother, Howard L. Ransdell, Burlington, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Homer was preceded in death by his brother, John M. Ransdell; and sisters, Avenelle Dixon and Doris Ransdell.
Funeral services will be held at Central Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roland Smith and Pastor Scott White officiating. Interment in Crossville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Mark Teeple, Stephen Teeple, Pete Bisbee, Dale Braun, Bobby Buren and Phil Hill.
