Harriet Marie Miller


Harriet Marie Miller, 94 years old, was born April 19, 1924, to Frank and Belvia Tabor in Crossville. She had three children, Teressa Ann Turner (husband Harold), Nelda Sue Thompson (husband David Thompson) and Frank Lavell Miller (wife Nancy Miller).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Miller; and daughter, Teressa Turner. She has two surviving sisters, Esther Sowder (husband Ray) and Eva Rogers (husband Jim Rogers, deceased).
Harriet has six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Harriet and her sisters were well known for placing corn shuck and split bottoms in the chairs that their father, Frank Tabor, made. She was also known for helping take care of others and babysitting.
Funeral services for Harriet will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Garland Limburg and Al Watkins presiding. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Tolletts Chapel Cemetery.
The family requests that instead of flowers that memorial donations be made to Cumberland House Hospice or Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
