Harold Fredrick Tillinghast, 78, was born on April 2, 1939, to Donald and Margaret (Turnblom) Tillinghast in Providence, RI. He passed away on April 30, 2017. Harold served our country in the United States Air Force for 22 years. In his spare time, he loved woodworking and playing golf. Harold also enjoyed playing his guitar and cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Tillinghast; son, C.J. Tillinghast; daughters, Diane Baldonado, Peggy Girgenti (Gio), Michelle DeVoe and Nicola Farmer (Jeremy); grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Bobby, Aiden, Jordan, Troy, Dillon, Conner, Nathan, Jeremy, Eliza, Benjamin, Elijah and Jacob; and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Veronica Tillinghast.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service for Harold will also be held on Tuesday at 8 p.m. following visitation. He will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
