Funeral services for Harold Robinson, 81, of Mayland, TN, will be conducted on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Reagan will officiate with interment to follow in Mayland Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 25, 2017.
Mr. Robinson was born on July 1, 1935, in Smith County, MS, to the late Ethel John and Ola Williams Robinson. Mr. Robinson passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at his home. Mr. Robinson was a truck driver working with Transcarriers, Inc. for many years. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of Mayland Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of almost 51 years, Glenda Abston Robinson of Mayland, TN; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Karen and Dewayne Schubert of Plateau Road Community, Sharon and Tim Rozek of Laurel, MS, Michelle and Tommy Parker of Laurel, MS, and Cindy Lindsey of Laurel, MS; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Scott and Brenda Robinson of Crossville, Shawn and Casey Robinson of Crossville, Darrell Lindsey of Laurel, MS, and Mark Lindsey of Laurel, MS; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Charles Dupree of Gulfport, MS; and two brothers, L.B. Robinson of Taylorsville, MS, and E.J. Robinson of Brownsville, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Lily Faith Russell; four sisters; and one brother.
Goff Funeral Home in Monterey, TN, was in charge of the arrangements.
