Gordon Steven Reed, 69, of Crossville, passed away peacefully on Sept. 11, 2017, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family and friends. Gordon was born Sept. 14, 1947, to Floyd and Mary Lytle Reed.
Gordon was of the Baptist Faith and received a Bachelors of Theology from Slidell Baptist Seminary. He was an active member of Fredonia Baptist Church and loved his brothers and sisters in Christ.
Gordon was married to his loving wife, Wanda Keck Reed, for 48 years. Gordon was a loving father to two beautiful daughters and grandfather to seven, of whom he was extremely proud. Gordon was a passionate man that loved the Lord, his family, making music and working in his garage. He loved to laugh and joke and was always quick with a clever comment that we have come to know as "Gordonisms."
Gordon was number 12 of 15 children. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter Stephanie and husband Luke Williams of Medina, TN; daughter Sheila and husband Michael Turner of Troy, MO; seven grandchildren, Summer, Lindsey, Daxon, Desiree, Garrett, Emily and Gavin; brother, Fred Reed of Dayton, OH; sister Mary Sue Peeler and husband John of Springboro, OH; sister Shirley Houston of Crossville; sister Frances and Junior Blaylock of Crossville; longtime friend, music partner and brother in Christ, David Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary Reed; five brothers; and five sisters.

Gordon was a very special man and he will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Joe Young and Bro. Donnie White officiating. Interment in Big Lick Cemetery.
