Fumi Katherine Curran, 90, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 4, 2017. She was born Jan. 3, 1927, in Yokohama, Japan, the daughter of Shokichi and Sei Nagano Katano. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She was a great cook and hosted many culinary parties. She also had a gift for flower arranging. She enjoyed traveling and especially loved to gather and visit with her Japanese family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William E. Curran of Crossville; son, Michael P. Curran and friend Trina A. Burns; her special grandson, Chris Curran and his wife Jasminda and their daughter Kali Curran who was the joy of her life; special niece Kathy and her husband Dan; and family friends, former daughter-in-law Melanie Barger, Lordes Gonzales, Key Laqadinos and Kayson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pomona Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at Hood Funeral Home.
