Fred J. Flick Fred J. Flick, 78, of Cookeville, passed away Sept. 22, 2018. He was born Nov. 28, 1939 in Bristol, TN, the son of James F. Sr. and Sarah E. Flick. He graduated from Tennessee High School in Bristol and then attended ETSU, where he received his bachelor's degree. He continued his studies at LSU before beginning his lifelong career in banking, having worked in Bristol, Crossville, Cookeville and Greeneville. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Crossville.
He is survived by his son, Allen Flick of Cookeville; daughter, Amy Newman and her husband, Eric, of Tampa, FL; sisters, Carol and Joan; and grandchildren, Jonah Flick, Savannah Newman, Jackson Newman and Eli Newman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Flick; and several brothers and sisters.
A private family graveside will be held.
The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd. S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
