Frances Edna Grant, a resident of Crossville, TN, passed away Nov. 27, 2017, with her family at age 92.
She was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Bernhards Bay, NY, to Flossie and Carlton Winn. She and her sisters, Dawn and Mabel, grew up on Oneida Lake where their children later spent their summers. She and her husband, Maurice Grant, had two daughters, Michelle and Rainey.
Frances was a Life Master Bridge player and championship 100 mile endurance rider with her prized horse Patton. Frances was also active in Girl Scouts, the Humane Society, her local library and several conservation societies.
She is survived by her daughter; two sons-in-law; and granddaughters, Christine Hoffner and Adriana Thompson. Her independent spirit and sense of adventure will be missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Feb. 10, 2018, at First Congregational Church, 12 Dorton Rd. (off Lantana), Crossville 30555.
