Eula Thurman, 68, of Crossville, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017.
She was born April 28, 1949, in Cookeville, TN, daughter of the late General Bohannon and Mattie (Conley) Bohannon. Eula worked for many years at Flowers Bakery and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Carroll Thurman, Crossville; sons, Lynn (Patti) Thurman and Ricky (Karen) Thurman, all of Baxter; daughters, Pat (James) Fields and Julia (Michael) Day, all of Crossville; sisters, Beulah Melton of Livingston and Jill Choate of Cookeville; and brothers, Jack Bohannon and Robert Bohannon of Crossville and Ronnie Spivey of Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Eula was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kasey Day; grandson, Jeremy Helm; brothers, Millard Bohannon, Willard Bohannon, David Bohannon and Poteet Bohannon; and sisters, Fannie Mae Bohannon, Grace Best, Mazie Eldridge, Hazel Stephens and Joyce Durham.
Funeral services were held at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at 4 p.m. with Bro. Mike Kerley and Bro. Donald Wattenbarger officiating. Interment in Crossville City Cemetery.
