Oct. 3, 1922—March 25, 2015 Elizabeth Peavyhouse, 92, of Crossville, passed away March 25, 2015, at Wharton Nursing Home in Pleasant Hill, TN. She was born Oct. 3, 1922, in Crab Orchard, TN, the daughter of the late Everett O. Martin and Mary Ammie (Black) Martin. She worked as a teacher and was a member of the Pomona Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Martha Byars (Dwight) of Sparta and Ann Mutter (Joe) of Crossville; son, Col. Martin G. Peavyhouse of Estill Springs, TN; sister, Rachel Tabor (Vernon) of Crossville; special family, Sarah Bond (John) of Crossville; grandchildren, Blake Barnett (Mark), Charlie Norris, Rebecca Burgraff (Joe), Anthony Peavyhouse and SFC Chance Byars. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Dallas George Peavyhouse; daughter-in-law, Lavena Weaver Peavyhouse; father, Everett O. Martin; mother, Mary Ammie (Black) Martin; sister, Linnie B. Williams; and brother, Charles William Martin. Funeral services were held March 28, with Bill Williams officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc.
