Elizabeth "Beth"'s Story
Elizabeth "Beth" Fair McCrary, 46, of Crossville, passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2017.
Beth was born in Atlanta, GA, on Jan. 30, 1971. She grew up loving family trips to Fripp Island and spending the weekends at Lake Lanier with her grandparents. Beth was a graduate of the Cottage School and Lee University. After college, Beth worked as a river guide and cherished her time on the whitewater of the Ocoee River. She loved tending to her horses, family roadtrips, cooking and being outside and in nature. Beth had a very strong faith in God and loved knowing He was with her throughout her life. She also had a strong belief in the power of volunteering, and frequently gave her time to help those in need. Beth was a foster parent to many and always provided a warm and welcoming home to those in need. She was most proud to be the first in line to volunteer with the Red Cross in New York after 9/11.
She was married to Ralph Blair and was a devoted mother to their daughter, Megan Blair, who was the light of her life, and her step-daughter, Ashley.
Beth is survived by her daughter, Megan Blair; supportive former husband, Ralph Blair; mother, Carolyn McCrary of Atlanta; father, C. Wiley McCrary of Savannah; brother, Cliff and Lara McCrary of Dallas; sister, Julie and Brett Rogers of Atlanta; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She loved them all dearly, and they all love her. They will miss her always but smile knowing she is at peace and in Heaven.
Services will be in Atlanta, GA, and Crossville but have not been scheduled at this time.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
