Eddie C. Raby, 74, received his promotion to Glory on April 7, 2017.
He is survived by wife of 56 years, Geraldine L. Raby; daughter and son-in-law, Kristye Raby and Greg Bruce, and granddaughter and best buddy, Blakelye Bruce; son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Monya Raby and her son, Victor; sister, Barbara Gunter; sister-in-law, Dorothy Turner; sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, Mavis and Ronald Kerley, Barbara and Charles Kerley, Judy and Bob Wilson, Gail and Denver Cole; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Eddie attended Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Before retirement, he was a custom carpenter with a knack for designing the unusual. During retirement, he loved to design and build with his best buddy, granddaughter Blakelye. His greatest enjoyment was being with his family both here and in Crossville, TN, where he grew up. Vacations were spent at the beach with family where many wonderful, treasured memories were made.
Graveside services were held at the Crossville City Cemetery on Monday, April 10, at 1 p.m. Pastor Charlie McNutt, Sevier Heights Baptist Church, led the service of celebration.
