David Myers Crabtree, 74, of Crossville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was born June 11, 1942, in Crossville, son of the late Oakley Dale Crabtree and Maude Ellen (Davidson) Crabtree.
David worked as a prison guard for the State of Tennessee Department of Corrections and was a member of the West Avenue Church of Christ. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Crabtree, Crossville; son, Michael Crabtree, Crossville; and grandchildren, Alex, Ryan, Chip and Jonathan.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ann Ashworth; brothers, Frank Crabtree, Dale Crabtree and Billy Howard Crabtree; and sister, Margaret Maynard.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Tim Hester officiating. Interment in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
