David Bryan Bozeman, of Crossville, was born on Feb. 12, 1953, in Knoxville,
TN, to Judge C. Howard and Barbara Bozeman. He passed away Aug. 2, 2017.
David was a graduate of Holston High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and Knoxville. He was an Eagle Scout, avid outdoorsman and a lifelong supporter of the Tennessee Volunteers. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Durable Products, Inc. as director of sales in Crossville. Apart from his wife, son, family and friends, his passions included fishing, camping, hiking, traveling, music and sports.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Howard Bozeman and Barbara Newman Bozeman, and his father-in-law, Gene French.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gena French Bozeman of Crossville, and his son, Bryan Benjamin Bozeman and daughter-in-law Darby Smith Bozeman of Athens, GA. He is also survived by his brothers Barry of Knoxville, Charlie and his wife Linda of Sevierville and Sam and his wife Megan of Cambridge, MA; mother-in-law, Kathryn French Hamel and her husband Ron Hamel of Ft. Myers, FL; and brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Paige French of Gainesville, FL. David is also survived by his numerous and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sept. 23, 2017, at 2 p.m. CST at First United Methodist Church in Crossville. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. CST. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Hospice of Cumberland County-Cumberland House, or Conservation Fisheries of Knoxville, TN.
