Clinton Wheeler Johnson, 88, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 15, 2018, at his home. He was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Osborn, KY, the son of John Jacob and Flora Ford Johnson.
He served two years in the United States Army as a paratrooper. He retired from the State Department of Agriculture and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sons, Greg Johnson, John Johnson and his wife, Ruth, and Ray "Tom" Johnson and his wife, Annette, all of Crossville; brother, Ray Johnson and his wife, Barbara, of Michigan; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Hamby Johnson; daughter, Lois Johnson; brothers, Aster and Millard; and sisters, Thelma, Virginia, Aubrey, Gayle and Betty Ruth.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in Big Lick Cemetery.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
