Cleta's Story

Cleta P. Pugh, 75, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 18, 2017. She was born Aug. 17, 1941, in Crossville, the daughter of Harry and Ora Vella Green Pugh. She worked many years at Caryonah Hunting Lodge and was a member of Plateau Missionary Baptist Church. She was a huge UT fan and loved visiting Destin, FL, one of her most favorite places to be.
She is survived by her father and mother, Harry and Ora Vella Pugh of Crossville; daughter, Regina Griffith and her husband Keith of Crossville; brothers, Lloyd Pugh and his wife Maria of Montgomery, TX, Charles Pugh and his wife Mildred of Crossville, Michael Pugh and his wife Marcella of Wartrace, TN, and Tracy Pugh and his wife Connie of Crossville; sister, Sharon Sisco of Crossville; grandchildren, Steve Griffith and his wife Amber, Jason Griffith and his wife Kelly and Kevin Griffith; and great grandchildren, Jacey Griffith, Konnor Griffith and Ryder Griffith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Button" Pugh, and brother, Gary Pugh.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday Feb. 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service at Hood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woody Cemetery.
