Christine Rector, 87, of Crossville, passed away March 22, 2017. She was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Campbell County, TN, the daughter of Mitt and Rhoda McGhee Dowell. She was a homemaker and a member of Sparta Hwy. Church of God. She was a faithful and devoted Christian lady who loved the Lord from a very early age. She enjoyed reading and had a special fondness for her cats.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Rector and his wife Kathy of Crossville and Randall Rector of Punta Gorda, FL; daughters, Nancy Rector of Crossville and Charlotte Swartsell and her husband Timothy of Nashville, TN; sisters, Betty Hawkins and her husband Fred of Cookeville, TN, and Nadine Hale of Crossville; grandchildren, Melanie Shaver, Nicholas Rector, Eric Watson and Joshua Rector; great grandchild, Peyton West; lifetime friend, Millie Farmer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Rector; stepfather, Henry Marlow; brother, Paul Marlow; and sister, Peggy Brock.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
