Charlie Brown, 83, was born on Sept. 2, 1932, in Crossville, to Everett and Rebekah Daniels Brown and passed away on June 13, 2016, in Crossville. He served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as a supervisor for TDOT until retirement. Over the course of his life, working on the farm was what he enjoyed most. Charlie was a sunday school teacher for over 40 years. He played the mandolin and guitar and enjoyed playing gospel music.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Coleman Brown; sons, Chris Burnette (Bonnie), Keith Brown (Deloris) and Stanley Brown; grandson, Marcus Brown; granddaughters, Rachel Burnette and Brandy Rosser (Timothy); great grandson, Taylor Burnette; brothers, Joseph, Earl, John and Tony; and sisters, Martha Nadine, Darlene, Faye, Connie and Lola.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lester; and sister, Dela Mae.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 10 with Bro. Gene Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Brown's Chapel Cemetery.
