Carolyn Ann Fields Boston passed away Feb. 24, 2017, at Cumberland Medical Center. She was born Feb. 15, 1940, in Cumberland County, TN. She was a member of the West Avenue Church of Christ and was a retired teacher's assistant. A private service was held at Lantana Cemetery with Bro. Tim Hester officiating. "Farther Along" was sung beautifully at her graveside by her niece Leigh Ann Wyatt Fairman.
Ms. Boston was preceded in death by her parents, Litton and Louella (Pace) Fields; her mother- and father-in-law, Oscar and Lora Jane Boston; the father of her children, Roy Horton Boston; brothers-in-law, George King, Ed Murray, Carl Boston and Milo Boston; sisters-in-law, Barbara Agee Boston and Joann Boston Brockman; niece, Kathy Tollett Boyer; and nephews, Matthew Boyer and Josh Tollett.
She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Wyatt Smith and Sandra Murray; daughter, Jan Boston Sellers and her husband Michael; daughter, Kim Boston Tabor and her husband Greg; son, Randal Boston and his wife Teresa; son, Curt Boston and his wife Shona; sisters-in-law, Kitty King and Janet Boston; and brothers-in-law, Larry Smith and Bill Boston.
She is also survived by grandchildren Ashley Gentry; Kelly Gentry Thurman and her husband Grant; Allison Gentry; Lorna Boston; and Rayce Boston.
Ms. Boston will be sadly missed by three nieces; 11 nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews; close friend and neighbor Brenda Farris; and many others.
Delivering Carolyn to her final resting place were her pallbearers, sons-in-law, Greg Tabor and Michael Sellers; nephews, Shane Wyatt and Kyle Fairman; and special sons, Steve Gale and Kevin Poore.
