Memorial services for Billy "Bill" Francis Anderson, 76, of Crossville, formerly of Baxter, will be Thursday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Maynard Cemetery in DeKalb County at a later date. Rev. Dr. James E. Janecek will officiate. Family will receive friends Thursday from noon to service time.
Mr. Anderson passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in Standing Stone Care & Rehab in Monterey, TN.
He was born Oct. 8, 1941, in the Cherry Hill Community of DeKalb County to the late Marvin and Lucille Maynard Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Anderson.
He was a 1959 graduate of Baxter Seminary and attended Tennessee Tech University. He served in the Army National Guard.
He was a retired supervisor of installation at GTE with 28 years of service. He retired in 1994 and moved to Crossville in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening and spending time with his four-legged friend, Shadow. He was also a member of Fairfield Glade Community Church.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years (married Sept. 7, 1968, in Richmond, IN), Sandra "Sandy" Wisenberg Anderson of Crossville; daughter, Kimberly Anderson of Madison, AL; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Beth Anderson of Richmond, IN; and grandchildren, Ali Anderson and Evan Anderson.

The Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
