Bernice Houston, 86, of Crossville, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Cumberland House in Crossville.
She was born July 8, 1930, in Crossville, daughter of the late Connor Hale and Laura Mae (Brown) Hale. Bernice was a homemaker and was a member of the Linary Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Houston, Crossville; sons, Wayne (Vickie) Houston, Rick (Judy) Houston and Jeff (Lee) Houston, all of Crossville, and Noah (Celeina) Houston, of Georgia. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Houston; sisters, Margie Kerley, Mildred Kerley, Myrtle Houston, Dorothy Fuell and Josephine Davis; and brothers, Herthel Hale and Hollis Hale.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Steve Brown and Bro. Donny Anderson officiating. Interment in Linary Cemetery.
