Alya Dean Hancock


Alya Dean Hancock, 88, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 25, 2019. She was born Oct. 24, 1930, in Crossville, the daughter of Jim and Kate Kindred Parsons. She was a homemaker and attended Grace Community Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Bottoms and her husband Bob, Diane Bash and her husband Skip; son, Randy Harris and his wife Brenda, all of Crossville; grandchildren, Bob Bottoms II, Bradley Bottoms and his wife Tracy, Robbie Casteel and her husband Heath, Nick Harris and Katie Harris; great-grandchildren, Randal Barnett, Chloe Casteel and Chelsi Dorsey; and great-great-grandchildren, Gracie, Alannah, Lilli, Aubrey and Aleah Barnett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Clyde Harris and Ed Hancock.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 27, at 6 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home. Graveside committal services were held Monday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. at Creston Cemetery.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC ( was in charge of the arrangements.
