AG Taylor, 85, of Crossville, formerly of North Ridgeville, OH, passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, peacefully at home following a brief illness. He was born Jan. 16, 1932, in Monroe, TN.
AG worked as a construction foreman for Bob Schmitt Homes, Inc. in North Ridgeville, OH, for 45 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and NASCAR racing.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Taylor (Jeanie) (CO), Kenneth Taylor (OH), Steve Taylor (Kathryn) (VA), Bob Taylor (OH), Gary Taylor (OH) and Greg Taylor (OH); and daughters, Phyllis Whitt (Crossville), Sandra Diederich (Jim) (SC), Pamela Kennedy (WV) and Margie Hicks (Mike) (Crossville). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Margie Taylor, AG was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Betty Hassler Taylor; aunts and uncles, Osville Taylor, Odus Taylor, Nelson Taylor, Nora Carter, Auda Newberry, Ethel Rindley and LV Johnson; and grandsons, Ashley Taylor and Jake Copeland.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, form noon to 2 p.m., with a funeral at 2 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and burial at Big Lick Cemetery.
